Never Underestimate

I was thinking today on my drive home from work, and this is what came of it.  This list of things I believe you should never underestimate.  Thought I would share.

Never underestimate:

... yourself.
... the power of love.
... what you are capable of.
... what another person is capable of.
... the importance of clarity.
... the destructive power of fear.
... the power of faith & hope.
... the poisonous effects of negativity.
... the power of experience.
... the power of knowledge.
... the value of laughter.
... the power of emotional toughness.
... the significance of the little things.
... the value of family.
... the power of a simple smile.
... the importance of saying thank you.
... the way a beautiful, sunny day can turn your day around.
... how a simple chorus can take you back to a distinct memory you never even knew you had.

... ORRRR how awesome it is to have a brand new refrigerator!

(too bad I had to clean out the old one first)

The Beginning

Well... one of my good friends Kathleen just recently started a blog, and she talked me into diving into this adventure with her.  Since we live about an hour and a half apart, I think it will also be a fun way to keep in touch and still be a part of each other's lives.  So.. I think this will be a fun adventure! :) Now I am very new at this "blogging" thing so bear with me.  Although, I did grow up in the Xanga age and could probably make a book out of all my posts.  That should give me a pretty good start I think. :)

So here's a little bit about me to get started.  I'm 25 years old, recently engaged to my better half and best friend. Therefore, wedding planning is currently taking up most of my free time.  I received a Bachelor's Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Industrial & Organizational Psychology (this is basically Human Resources, in case you were wondering) and also Psychology with a minor in General Business.  I currently work full-time at Hy-Vee as an Assistant Manager, but I am still trying to figure out where I want to be career-wise in the long run.

Here's me and my fiance at his cousin's wedding last weekend...

And here is the BEAUTIFUL ring that he picked out all by himself.  Amazing right?!  He is a keeper.

Like Kathleen, I am a big fan of cheese.  Any and every kind of cheese.  She would vouch that every time I go to her house I dig in her fridge for string cheese.

I am currently in the middle of the first book in the Fifty Shades of Grey series.  I kind of got halted in that when my boyfriend decided to PROPOSE. :) Now, I don't have quite as much free time to read.

Lost is by far the best TV show I have EVER watched!  My fiance and I just recently finished the 6th and final season and are now struggling to find another show we can get into even near as much as Lost.

I am also catching up on Season 8 of Grey's Anatomy right now so I can catch up on Season 9.  (Thank goodness for Netflix).

I LOVE Dill Pickle Sunflower Seeds!  Only the David brand though.  If you like sunflower seeds and haven't tried them, you must!
 Can't forget the Monster!

My fiance's grandma has taken upon a new hobby this Halloween season... painting pumpkins, not carving!  How cute is this?!

Well, I think that's about enough for today.  It's almost my newly acquired "big girl" bedtime.  Haha.  Not even kidding. :)
